Every single fucking company does this and it is empty rhetoric

Since we haven't seen them doing. Back your words up. Sony managed things better than EA by not only using a statement, but going after All Lives Issue supporters in remarks, matching donations by a few workers, claiming they'll have more in Mut 21 coins the coming week, also allegedly forming a studio at San Diego headed by POC programmers. Can EA have something in the works and they desired to get the statement out first? They could have either held the announcement until they had something to reveal, or told us exactly what they're going. Are you currently treating a business like how a parent talks about a young child? I really don't know why it is our obligation to baby businesses into having compassion. Why do they need to"learn" to do good for humankind, why not they just do it? It's the same as white folks putting the duty on black people to teach them to not be racist when there's lots of resources out there on how to perform it.

With that said, I do want to say that I apologize if any of my remark comes off to you as attacking or hostile. I appreciate this discussion a lot even if I believe at the end of it we will still disagree. I would say men and women fall somewhere between idealism and realism. I hope I'm not making a strawman from your argument once I say you see value in making a statement to back it up. That conveys a fair bit of weight if they don't do anything else, whereas when a large company makes a formal statement I think.

I don't think EA has some moral imperative to do anything at all in this situation. If they have any employees affected police/military actions or riots or even by the protests they have a moral imperative to do what they can to accommodate them, that is about it. They're not the reason for the problem, it would be simple and suitable for them to remain quiet or skirt about this political issue, but they did not. They had three choices: say nothing, say something, or say something and make a gesture. Anything above the bare minimum is worth admitting in my eyes. I really don't see it as"babying" them to admit a firm statement that I concur with.

I don't need businesses. In fact I'm fed up with companies stating things. Create your merchandise. Make it good. Shut up and let men and women that are actual speak. Nobody wants corporations to talk for them.Because it is silly bullshit meant to placate dumb white people that can easily be susceptible to this kind of marketing tactic. This marketing tactic where businesses express commitments to resist injustice whilst avoiding specifics as to what is wrong, what they're going to do about it, and what should change.

Every single fucking company does this and it is empty rhetoric. That is not worthy of applause. They don't offer a single fuck. This is precisely the same EA that censored the term"Kaepernick" from a song in several Madden NFL now in an effort to avoid offending their delicate white player base. I'm not going to be happy that a company like EA does nothing and expects praise for doing nothing. Individuals catching that and calling out it is buy Madden nfl 21 coins not nihilism. It is realism.
